Visual Art and Media Educator
For the past 10 years I have been engaged with the Brooklyn community, providing the knowledge I have gained in visual art and digital media. Providing an opportunity to have students learn how to be creative and develop their voices through various visual mediums and present their work.
Working with the Department of Education I am able to join staff in the classroom and community spaces to provide a well rounded contemporary art and digital media experiences. Students learn various processes of art making and installing of public art from mural painting, mosaics and sculpting to video production, 2D animation, podcasting and an introduction to creating 3D environments in Virtual Reality.
As an educator I fostered collaborative environments and lead activities to encourage positive environments for youth and families while looking to inspire the future of Brooklyn’s young creatives in New York City.
